10U NYBC Update - Juice squeezes the Bonnie Braves Print E-mail

August 21, 2008 – Cordova, Tennessee, NYBC Nationals.  The Juice 10U’s of Orlando, Florida sail past the Bonnie Braves of Brookyln, New York by a score of 14-1.

The Juice 10, coached by X-Major League player Chet Lemon,  jumped out with a quick 6 runs from 4 hits, plus 2 runs scored on errors; thus building an 8-0 lead after 2 innings.  From this point, the Juice never looked back. 

Says Coach Lemon, “The most important reason we won today is that we played as a team, and all players made the sacrifices that are necessary to win; it was good to see these kids growing in baseball so much”.

There were many outstanding players in this game.  Chase Cheek went 4-5 with 2xRBI’s for the Juice.  Lorenzo Lagares, Zack Jackson, and Juan Hillman had multiple hits with at least one RBI.

The player of the game was the Juice pitcher, Juan Hillman who had 4 strikeouts in 4 innings while giving up no runs.  Hillman also contributed 2 singles and an RBI to help his team win.
