10U Update - Elite 24 Pool Play - Texas Nationals vs. Tampa Crush Print E-mail

At 8:00 AM TBS #11 Texas Nationals took on the Tampa Crush. The big lefty Zack Noll took the mound for the Nationals pitching a complete game. The Nationals defense provided support with solid play from 1st baseman Josh Lowe, 2nd baseman Cole Schroeder, and shortstop Garrett Wolforth who combined for a 4-6-3 double play. Cross Austin and Cole McGowen made great plays in the Nats. outfield. Catching duties were handled by Jorge Gutierrez who was sick but you would not know it by the way he played.

 

The Nats. bats were led by Luke Boyd who had 2 RBI’s, Hudson Fife who was 1-2 and scored 2 runs. Cade Austin also went 1-2 as did Hugo Casillo who also scored a run and drove in a run.  Justin Sainz pitched 4 innings for the Crush and Steven Lugo pitched the fifth inning while Steven Colon did a fine job behind the plate for Tampa. Unfortunately for the Crush the defense did not play as well as the did the previous day.

 

TBS looks forward to a possible rematch between these two teams.
