10U Results - Texas Bobcats Blast Field to WinTriple Crown Print E-mail

The Texas Bobcats of Houston, Texas went 8-0 in the Division 1 bracket of the Triple Crown 2008 World Series.  The Bobcats dominated the field of 39 teams going 3-0 in pool-play and getting the #1 seed.  The Bobcats were so dominant that only 2 games weren't called because of run rule.  The Bobcats run to the title included wins over California powers So Cal Smash (13-4) and twice beating Temecula Irish (6-1) and in the Finals (13-5).  The tournament included the Texas State Champs (Humble Hurricanes) and Texas State Runner-Ups also (San Antonio Devils).
