2008 10U Cincinnati Riverbats (OH) - East Region

The 10U Riverbats from Cincinnati, OH, a TravelBallSelect Honorable Mentioned team, have been playing travel ball for the past three years and in the competitive Southwest Ohio League for the past two years. Their record over the past three years is 81-21 (28-3 in 2008) with 5 Tournament Championships including the USSSA World Series in 2006. Recently, they were runner-ups in the Cincinnati Flames Classic having defeated the Flames 4-3 in the quarter finals and the Zunic Indians 6-5 in the semi finals before falling in a close one to the Tippecanoe Wolfpack 11-9. The team is lead by head coach by Darren Callahan. Coach Callahan is preparing for the team for their season ending Tournament at Snowden Grove Park (outside of Memphis, TN) NABF World Series. The Riverbats are one of the favorites and had a good run until losing to the talented local team, Desoto Cards, in the last inning by a score of 6-5. The ‘Bats are hoping to improve on last year’s results and with the talent they have and the competition they have faced this year, it is quite possible.
