One of Alabama’s Most Successful 11U Teams – The Cru 11U

The Cru 11U is a Future Prospects Academy affiliate from Prattville, Alabama.  The Crusaders Baseball organization started competing in 2014 as an 8U team and is currently comprised of athletes from Alabama’s River Region to Birmingham and surrounding areas. The team has a rich history and still has four of its original athletes on roster in 2017.

The 2015 edition of the team, The Cru 9U, finished with an overall record of 33-18.  This team won a USSSA Global World Series Major Bracket Championship in Gulf Shores, AL and claimed 5 total tournament wins.

In 2016, The Cru 10U had an even more impressive run with an overall record of 40-13 and 6 Major tournament wins.  The strong 10U team claimed several titles including 10U USA Playmaker Perfect Game/Major Division #1 ranked team, 10U USA Playmaker World Series Major Bracket Champions (Birmingham, AL), 10U PG25 Super Regional Champions (Alex City, AL), and 10U PG Super25 Championship Bracket Quarterfinalist (Fort Myers, FL). Nine of the athletes were also selected to the 10U PG Super25 All-Tournament team while competing in Fort Myers, FL versus top competition from across the United States.

As one of the most successful 11U teams in the state of Alabama in 2017; this year’s highlights include 6 tournament wins. Two feature titles on this teams resume are the 11U Travel Ball Select Wood Bat National Championship (East Cobb, GA) and an 11U Triple Crown March Mayhem Championship (Marietta, GA).  Overall, the team boasts a 35-4 record in competition against top 11U and 12U competition across the states of Alabama and Georgia.
